As Christmas is around the corner, we may see an increase in reports of parcels being stolen from doorsteps and communal areas. As a gentle reminder to help protect your deliveries, please consider the following crime prevention tips:

Before Delivery

Use secure delivery options that offer tracking and require a signature.

Arrange deliveries for times when someone is home.

Avoid leaving parcels in visible or insecure areas when providing “safe place” instructions.

At Home

Install a doorbell camera or CCTV covering your entrance.

Ensure good lighting around your front door and driveway.

Ask trusted neighbours to take in parcels if you’re away.

After Delivery

Collect parcels promptly after receiving delivery notifications.

Report any suspicious activity or theft to the police and your delivery company.

Extra Tips

Avoid posting delivery times or absences on social media.

Consider a lockable parcel box for frequent deliveries.
